Member of Indigenous People’s Day campaign.

A group of members from the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College (KBOCC), Michigan Tech, AISES, and local community members who worked together on the Indigenous Peoples’s Day campaign. The group has organized activities, several of them in conjunction with and with the support of MTU’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion, including presentations by local tribal speakers and films, and events such as historian Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz in 2016.  The group has worked to bring Winona LaDuke to campus in Fall 2017.
